| American Assets, Inc. Retains LCG for Corporate Brand Campaign |

COSTA MESA, Caif. – Lapin Consulting Group (LCG) has been retained by American Assets, Inc. to lead their brand campaign with an 18-month contract that extends through 2006.
LCG will customize a brand management plan for American Assets that will include the creation of a new logo, a complete stationery package and new corporate marketing materials. LCG will also revamp American Assets’ website to match their new campaign and handle their corporate public relations efforts for their retail and office portfolio of properties.
American Assets new brand will focus around a new logo that incorporates iconic pictures of the various locations in which they own properties.
Founded in 1967, the company was part of a privately held conglomerate that invested in banking and insurance and owned only $20 million in commercial real estate. Today, American Assets is a fully integrated private real estate investment, development and management company. The company has nearly $2 billion in real estate, including 11 retail properties totaling 3.3 million square feet - seven in California, one in Texas and three projects in Hawaii.
