COSTA MESA, Calif. – Lapin Consulting Group (LCG) has been retained to lead the public affairs and brand campaign for Orange County-based developers, LNR Property Corporation and Hopkins Real Estate Group, for their 168-acre brownfield development along the 405 freeway in Carson, Calif.
LCG will create a complete brand management plan to include community outreach, project naming, website design, leasing collateral and public relations for the project.
The development plan calls for extensive remediation to turn a former Class II landfill into a vibrant mixed-use project that will include approximately 1.3 million square feet of retail (including a multi-plex theater and quality restaurants), 1,200 housing units and a 200-room hotel. The project is anticipated to open in 2010.
Newport Beach-based LNR Property Corporation is a market leader in the master planning and development of commercial properties and land nationwide. Since its inception, LNR has gained vast experience in maximizing value across a range of property types including multi-family, office, industrial, retail, hotel, land and military base reuse.

A leader in public/private transactions, HREG is also developing several other projects in Southern California including centers in Riverside, Santa Clarita, San Clemente, Redlands, La Habra, Whittier, Fontana, Menifee, San Bernardino, Palmdale and Palm Springs.
