Losing its competitive place in a strengthening trade area, SouthBay Pavilion was overdue for redevelopment and brand positioning. Hopkins Real Estate Group and Genesis L.A. Real Estate Fund, managed by Shamrock Capital, asked LCG to set a new brand direction and help kick off its redevelopment and remerchandising plans.
Armed with research that further verified the buying power of its multi-ethnic consumers, LCG created a new brand image, with a goal of both enhancing the center's appeal to a broad demographic and supporting the developer's plans to an anxiously-awaiting civic audience.
